Environmental Protection Agency, National Risk Management Research
Laboratory, Research Triangle Park, NC, requires an aerosol generation
system for particles with diameters from 0.01 to 1.0 micrometers. The
aerosol generation system shall be capable of generating monodisperse
and polydisperse aerosols over the particle diameter range of 0.01 to
at least 10 micrometers and generate particles from solutions and from
dry powders. The dry powder disperser must be capable of dispersing
samples of dust over the particle diameter range of 0.3 to > 20
micrometers with a dust feed rate of 3 to 400 mg/micrometers. The
system will be used for research on indoor pollutant concentrations,
sources, sinks, and control strategies and shall be listed and labeled
by a third party listing agency approved by the North Carolina
Building Code Council. All components necessary for the system to be
fully operational must be provided. Acquisition of system includes
installation, training and one-year warranty. Allrequests for a copy of
