repair of the Corrosion Control Facility at Luke AFB, Arizona. This
project covers the installation of a completely enclosed Paint Booth
for F-16 aircraft within the existing Hangar Bay at building 922. The
overall booth size is 68 feet wide, 78 feet long, and 16 feet tall (25
feet tall at the center of the booth to accomodate the tail section of
the aircraft. This booth size will afford F-16 Fighter aircraft. The
booth will house all necessary systems including: lighting, compressed
air, fire protection, (AFFF), ventilation, electrical power,
particulate filtration, and breathing air. The booth shall be factory
fabricated using minimum 18 gauge steel panels. Front aircraft access
doors shall open to provide unobstructed access to the booth. Access
doors shall include filters for ventilation air. The panelized walls
shall be supported on six inch continuous concrete curbs with
continuous neoprene water stop. The filtration system for this project
shall include dryparticulate filters and carbon cell filters. These
systems shall effectively remove volitile organic compounds from the
exhaust system. The ventilation system includes the exhaust fans
provided with the booth together with ground mounted make-up air units.
The existing electrical service shall be removed and replaced with a
new service, including a new transformer. This contract shall include
contractor quality control and partnering. The cost of the plans and
specifications for this project is $126 per set. The estimated project
value is between $1 million and $5 million. The contract period is 300
