W -- COMMERCIAL PAGING SERVICES AT MCGUIRE AFB, NJ. SOL F28609-98-R0004 DUE 020298 POC Contract Specialist, James J. Sheeran 609-724-2525. This solicitation is for commercial paging services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12. Solicitation will be issued 12 Jan 98 with a 20 day closing period. The contractor shall provide commercial paging services to McGuire AFB personnel. An estimated 1242 numeric/alphanumeric pagers with various services are required. Coverage includes local, regional, coastal, nationwide and international (Europe) areas. All pagers will be accessible via a toll free number and must be able to receive computer generated text messages via a modem and internet homepage. All pagers and software will be provided by the contractor, including loss protection, as well as individual written instructions that include information on area coverage. The contractor will provide initial and as needed training on the operation of all paging equipment to the 305th Communication Squadron. After date of award, the initial order must be programmed and delivered to McGuire AFB within 30 calendar days. Additional pagers must be programmed and delivered within three (3) days after request. Coverage maps must be included with the proposal. Standard number of pages and standard amount of text per pager, per month, must be included in the proposal. Types of pagers to be issued with a list of features must be provided with the proposal. Proposals will be evaluated on past/present performance price and coverage area most advantageous to the Government as stated in FAR clause 52.212-2. This requirement is unrestricted. The proposed performance period will consists of a Basic Period and one, one year option. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 4812.
