The contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel(minimum of 7) as dictated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to conduct fish marking operations on approximately 1,000,000 juvenile fall chinook salmon at Coleman National Fish Hatchery. All transportation and travel costs will be the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor must provide all necessary personal gear required to complete the work. The Service will provide and maintain all necessary equipment to mark and move the juenile fish. The Service will demonstrate to each marker the proper fish marking techniques to use. The contractor is expected to provide fish markers capable of maintaining a high degree of proficiency and quality in terms of tag retention and mark quality. The overall acceptable initial retention rate for all markers is 98% or better. To complete the contract item within the scheduled number of marking days allowed, the Contractor must mark the minimum required number of fish per day(7 hours working time with six fish marker + one fish handler) in accordance with the Minimum Required Daily Marking Rate Chart. If the Contractor fails to mark the required number of fish for any particular contract item or combination of items, within the scheduled marking days, identified in the schedule of bids, the Contractor will be penalized a percentage rate base on the number of additional days, or any part of a normal work day (7 hours) it takes to complete any contract or combination of contract items.
