The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source purchase order with Clestra Hauserman of Arlington, Virginia under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source. This procurement involves the remanufacturing of obsolete Clestra Hauserman Type CCF Wall Partitions for the NIST General Purpose Laboratories (GPL) and will be used as stock partition parts. All partition components, unless otherwise specified, are to be painted Federal Standard #27722. These components are required to be completely interchangeable with the existing E.F. Hauserman Type CCF wall partitions installed during the original construction of the GPL space. Clestra Hauserman is uniquely qualified to provide the required supplies since Clestra Hauserman has retained the original patented design details, data manuals, and special production tooling. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis, will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Written responses to this solicitation shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available. (0364)
