The type of remedial waterstop used shall be a vertical drill hole with a continuous tube-type liner inserted in the hole with a chemical or water filler placed in the liner. The drill hole for the installation of the remedial waterstop system is estimated to require a 6 inch diameter hole drilled 110 feet deep at monolith joint 5/6 and 170 feet at monolith joint 6/7 (drill depths are estimated). The method used to drill the vertical hole shall be the "down-the-hole" hammer or core drill. Alignment of the hole is critical and the Contractor will be required to check alignment as necessary to ensure the hole is within tolerance. Solicitations will be issued on or about 5 January 1998.
