D -- ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE HOURS -- AIR VEHICLE PLANNING SYSTEM VERSION 2 POC Sandy Bednoski, Negotiator, (703) 325-6762, Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) has a requirement to add 60,000 level of effort maintenance hours for Air Vehicle Planning System Version 2 over a four year period. DSWA plans to award a sole source modification to GDE Systems, Inc., under DSWA01-97-C-0035. DSWA believes that GDE Systems, Inc. is the only responsible source for this effort. GDE has been intimately involved in this program from its inception and is the only company that has the knowledge and background to perform this effort within the required timelines. Based on their involvement in the program it would be impractical and impossible to bring in another source at this time to pick up the continued maintenance of the software that GDE themselves have developed.
