Moore, Contracting Officer, (817) 978-9301 This modifies the synopsis transmitted on December 22, 1997, in which the U.S. Department of Housing and Urbn Development, (HUD) is in need of a contractor to perform demolition services, with the capability to perform asbestos abatement, for Hillcrest Homes Apartments in Louisiana. This synopsis modifies the area of competition for this procurment to be restricted to the SBA New Orleans Office jurisdiction. All other information of the origianl synopsis remains as stated herein. This project is composed of three scattered sites, each approximately 30 (thirty) miles apart. These scattered sites are located in LaRose, Raceland, and Thibodaux, Louisiana. The magnitude of the project is between $3-$4 million, and must be completed within 90-days of issuance of a Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns located in the New Orleans SBA Office jurisdiction that possess the 1795 Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code. Interested 8(a) firms are encourged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the Section 8(a) program.
