R -- CONTRACTOR ASSISTANCE IN MAINTENANCE OF CAREER/LIFE RESOURCES CENTER SOL 440/0049Z/98 DUE 011598 POC Mrs. Roberta Jo Law, Contract Specialist, (202) 231-2151 The Virginia Contracting Activity of the Defense Intelligence Agency intends to issue a solicitation for a competitive commercial award for services to maintain the Career/Life Resources Center located at the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center, Bolling Air Force Base, Building 6000, Washington, DC 20340. The solicitation, and any resulting award, are prepared in accordance with the guidance of and format in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The goal of the Career/Life Resources Center is to provide avenues for DIA employees to access information on career development, both within and outside the Department of Defense and the federal sector; to provide information on life-needs issues, such as child care and caring for an aging relative; to assist employees with changing situations, such as dealing with loss; or, in providing self-help information on financial planning, such as getting out of debt or long-range retirement goals. The period of performance for the base period is date of award (on or about 19 February 1998) thru 30 September 1998, with four option years. No telephone requests will be accepted.
