S -- SOLID WASTE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL SOL 619A4-7-98 DUE 012698 POC Paulette Z. Ingram, Contracting Officer (334/727-0550, Ext. 3518) Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, etc., to provide Solid Waste Removal and Disposal Services at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (East Campus), Tuskegee, Alabama, in accordance with contract specifications. Contractor shall furnish a 40 cubic yard Compactor Container which shall be equal to Marathon Equipment Company, Inc., RAM -Jet Model RJ-40 container and must be totally compatible with the RAM-JET RJ-550 Heavy Duty Compactor which will be furnished by the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. The Contractor shall also furnish a 40 cubic yard Compactor Machine and Compactor Container; and a 40 cubic yard Open-Top Container for Oversized Waste. Contractor shall pickup the 40 cubic yard compactor containers two (2) times per week, Tuesday and Friday; and pickup the 40 cubic yard open-top container two (2) times per month. Contractor shall be responsible for the total maintenance and upkeep of the containers, the total liability while the containers are being hauled on the truck, and to put a clean container in place each time one is picked up for disposal of contents. Contractor is to include a flat-rate cost for pickup and disposal. (Disposal cost will be the Contractor's responsibility). Contractor is required to use an ADM approved landfill. Service is projected to begin on or or about February 1, 1998 and continue until September 30, 1998 with the Government having the option to extend the contract annually for four (4) additional years. Please request solicitation in writing. Solicitation will be available December 26, 1997, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
