E-MAIL: None, None. The objectives of this project are to provide
technical, managerial, and clerical support for studies directed by the
Epidemiology Branch, Environmental Biology and Medicine Program,
Division of Intramural Research, National Institute of Environmental
Health Sciences. The Contractor shall function in a purely supportive
role carrying out specific tasks, and shall not engage in independent
research. The Contractor shall assist the Government by administering,
managing, and conducting studies designed and supervised by the
Epidemiology Branch, division of Intramural Research, National
Institute of Environmental Health Sciences alone or in collaboration
with other organizations. The Contractor shall have demonstrated
experience in identifying appropriate study groups, composing and
administering questionnaires, interviewing, statistical programming,
collection of data and biologic materials, coding, managing
environmental samples, etc. Examples of studies to be supported by this
project are, (a) a study of PCBs and Neurologic Development, (b)
Mortality follow-up in a Large Cohort Study,(c) a study of Estrogen
Exposure in Infants Fed Soy Formula, (d) a study of Effects of Diet
Restriction on Humans. The estimated period of performance is seven (7)
years. The Government estimates this seven year period may require
163,572 professional labor hours, 527,300 technical labor hours, and
65,104 clerical/other labor hours. It is mandatory that the Contractor
show the ability to establish an office within 15 minutes from the
NIEHS for the duration of the contract period at the expense of the
Government. Close liaison between the Government and Contractor deem it
necessary for the Contractor to be in close proximity. This acquisition
is a total small business set aside, the size standard for which is 500
