84 -- EQUIPMENT BAG SOL W13G07-CBD8-0004 POC Paul Borges (508) 233-4689 (Site Code DAAN02) The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command (SSCOM) is conducting a Market Survey of commercially available equipment bags that will provide means to carry individual equipment and clothing items. This new item shall provide easy access to inner contents, provide ease of portability, provide maximum security, be capable of being transported by handle or other suitable means, and shall include multiple pockets and/or storage compartments. In addition, proposed bags shall include other innovative features and accoutrements (to maximum extent possible), that provide useful or convenient attributes. This would include such additions as webbing straps on outer bag to carry and easily access equipment items. These features will be evaluated for inclusion in final selection. The desired (objective) storage capacity is 6000 cubic inches with a minimum threshold of 5000 cubic inches. The specific requirements for material type, shape, color, design configuration, methods of closure and security, and weight are to be determined after evaluation of submittals. All interested firms should send literature describing their item and cost per item. The objective Unit Cost for this item is $50 to $85. Samples may be furnished but will not be returned. Samples are not required to respond to this request. This announcement is open to all potentially valid submittals from interested commercial contractors, including small business and set aside companies.
