17 -- HORIZON REFERENCE SETS SOL 98-R-0069 POC Darla M. Kelly 732-323-7437 This acquisition is for the procurement of the A/W37A-1 Horizon Reference Set (HRS) (P/N 212600-3) for the Spanish F100 ship class. The Government does not own a drawing package sufficient to permit full and open competition. The HRS is a shipboard system designed to provide a visual reference for the pilot of the LAMPS MK III helicopter (SH-60B) when landing during periods when the true horizon is obscured due to darkness or bad weather. Honeywell Limited through the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) as the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the HRS, is the only known source possessing the knowledge, experience and technical data required to fulfill the HRS hardware requirement.
