This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to purchase a 3480 Tape Subsystem and External Storage Drives. The following items will be connected to an IBM RS/6000 Model 591. Contractor shall certify compatibility and provide one year parts and labor warranty on all components: (1) 1 ea, L490 Six-Drive Tape Storage Subsystem to include: 70 Inch Vertical Cabinet, to include: 3 inch Casters(4), Levellers (4), Perforated Top Panel, Flush Bolted Closure Side Panels, Fully Vented Left-Hinged Rear Door, Dual Stabilizer, Internal Power Supply With Receptacles for up to Eight Drives and Ten (10) Foot External Reach. ** VENDOR SHALL PROVIDE POWER REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR INSTALLATION. Six (6) Rack Mount Kits, Each Kit to Include: 3480 Tape Drive with 10 Cartridge Autoloader and IBM 3480 Format Supporting 18-Track Recording, Fast-Wide (FW) Differential Interfacing, Fast-Wide (FW) Differential Terminator, Cables: One 7 Meter (22.5 Foot) Fast-Wide Differential, Five 1/2 Meter (19 Inch) Fast-Wide Differential. (2) 2 ea, External 23GB Disk Drives with Fast-Wide Single Ended SCSI Interfacing to Include: Desktop Enclosure with Power Supply,Fast-Wide Single-Ended Terminator, One 1 1/2 Meter (5 Foot) Fast-Wide Single-Ended SCSI Cable, Two 1/2 Meter (19 Inch) Fast-Wide Single-Ended SCSICables.
