Command intends to award a modification to contract N00019-94-C-0239
with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), 444 Salomon Circle, Sparks,
Nevada 89434, for the effort to perform an architectural study for the
integration of the Common Automatic Recovery System (CARS) with the
Tactical Control System (TCS). The study will provide a TCS-CARS
architecture, a draft of the TCS-CARS launch and recovery interface, a
recommended Human Computer Interface (HCI) definition to support
launch and recovery, and an integration plan for the integration of
CARS with the TCS. As SNC is the sole designer, developer and
manufacturer of the CARS, they are the only firm possessing the
requisite knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of the
