Vertical Gyro Unit (VGU) SOL N00421-97-R-1077 DUE 2/11/98 POC Jennifer Trossbach, Contract Specialist, (301)757-9074 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to procure 50 Vertical Gyro Units (VGUs) (Humphrey, Inc., Part Number VG34-0809-1) for the Pioneer Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Program which currently supports the Navy and Marine Corps by providing logistic support to the fleet users. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis with Humphry, Inc., 9212 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Humphey, Inc., is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and owns the proprietary data rights to these VGUs. This will be a firm fixed price contract.
