Amendment of Previous Announcement- CBD Submission No.: 151580, dated December 16, 1997 is amended to read as follows: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has a requirement to provide periodic maintenance and software releases and upgrades to the licensed proprietary software and hardware of BancTec. The VA believes that only BancTec has the ability to provide this service. Therefor, the VA intends to issue a sole source contract to BancTec, Inc., 1569 Brass lantern Way, Reston, VA 20194 after the 15th day that this announcement appears in the Commerce Business Daily. Any other firm that feels that they have the capability to provide the services described herein must provide the Contracting Officer with sufficient information to determine that your firm posses this capability prior to the 15th day of this announcement. The anticipated contract will extend three years including a base period and two option years.
