Performance period will be for a base year with four one-year option periods. Contract laboratory and subcontract laboratory will be required to be accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association for analyzing industrial hygiene samples as well as the National Institute of Standards and Technology for bulk and TEM asbestos measurements. Contract and subcontract laboratories will be required to demonstrate proficiency for two consecutive rounds of NIOSH proficiency testing surveys as well as the NVLAP bulk and TEM asbestos proficiency testing surveys.
