Contractor will provide all labor, materials and supervision to complete the proposed project at the Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS) Griffis Business and Technology Park, Rome, N.Y. Proposed project will be completed in accordance with plans and specifications. Project involves the repair and alteration of approximately 20,000 square feet of the interior of the NEADS Headquarters facility. The work includes, but is not limited to the removal and replacement of partitions, ceiling systems, carpeting, doors and frames, wall finishes, electrical and mechanical systems; abatement of asbestos and lead based paint; installation of operable partition and track system and a dedicated HVAC system in the Min Briefing Room; removal of existing concrete columns and installation of structural steel columns and beams; installation of utility meters and modification of the existing sprinkler system. The magnitude of this proposed project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Standard Identification Code (SIC) is 1542. The work will be bid as a firm fixed price contract. The anticipated performance time for this project is 300 calendar days after notice to proceed. Invitation For Bid (IFB): DAHA30-98-B-0003 will be issued on or about 7 January 1998 with a bid opening date on or about 10 February 1998. IMPORTANT: All requests for solicitation documents must be accompanied by a non-refundable check or money order totaling $100.00 made payable to the order of the Treasury of the United States.
