Herting The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) seeks to increase the maximum hours under an existing contract for the support of database and configuration management functions. The support is requested for critical projects within the Technology Infrastructure division. The service required is the role of technical specialist for the design, development, testing and maintenance of all tasks involved with relational databases on all PBGC client/service platforms using Oracle 7. It includes the technical expertise for recommending and implementing applicable systems and applications software packages, including but not limited to ORACLE 7, Visual Basic, Powerbuilder, Infomaker, Crystal Reports, Performance Accounting (KPMGH), HEAT for Windows, CS/1000, Oracle Government Financial 10.6, Oracle Designer/2000, Oracle Developer/2000, Oracle Server Manager, and SQL*NET V1 and V2. The responsibility requires expert knowledge in the installation and performance tuning of all product releases and updates on all PBGC operating platforms, including Sun/Solaris, Sequent/Dynix, and Windows NT. It is in the best interest of the PBGC to have the current provider perform these services in view of their familiarity with the scope of Work and to ensure continuity and expertise for timeliness of project completion. It is critical that the provider have a high degree of knowledge pertaining to specific IRM systems within the PBGC including the Case Administration System, Pension and Lump Sum, Individual Participant Valuation, Participant Record Information System, the General Ledger System, and the Image Processing System.
