D -- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES, INCLUDING TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES SOL 98-Q-10 DUE 010998 POC Contracting Officer, Patricia Kiley 202-435-6940 or Contract Specialist, Stephanie Gales This is a combined synopsis/solicitation which will be accomplished in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted. FAR Part 52.212.-1, 52.212-4, FAR 52.212.-1(b) (8) is deleted. The associated standard industrial code (SIC) is 3575. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation package will not be issued. 98-Q-10 is issued as a request for quotations. All references to "offer" are understood to be "quotations". The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. Award will be made to the offeror who fully meets the requirements. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for the following Hardware/Software: Two (2) Dual Pentium Processor with 233 Mhz, 128 Megabytes of RAM, 2 Gigabytes Fast/Wide SCSI Hardrive, External 4Gigabyte SCIS Backup Drive, 3COM/10/100 PCI Ethernet Network Card, External US Robotics 56kb Modem, Standard Port Mouse, Standard Keyboard, Standard SVGA 17" Monitor, Standard SVGA Video Card (on board if possible) 24X Internal CD-ROM drive, APC 900 Universla power source with Powerchute Backups Software, NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 3, MS SQL server 6.5 with service pack 2, MS Exchange 5.0 with current service pack, Cheyenne ArcServe enterprise edition for NT with client agent alert, PC Anywhere 32 for NT, and Twenty-seven (27) APC Power Strips. The due date for all offers is January 9, 1998. Offerors are required to submit Dell or Gateway equipment only, No clons. The contractor shall deliver the equipment: (i) FOB Destinations (ii) within 30 days ARO; (iii) delivery shall be made to two locations in the Washington, DC area. The inspection and acceptance will be at destination. The Government intends to award a contract to the responsible offeror whose quotation conforms to the specifications above and is the most advantageous to the Government. The Government anticipates award on or about January 23, 1998. (0351)
