The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(3) as implemented by FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii) with Concurrent Technologies Corporation, 1450 Scalp Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904, for the continued support of the National Defense Center for Environmental Excellence (NDCEE). The mission of the NDCEE is to transition environmentally acceptable materials and processes to defense industrial activities and private industry, to provide training that supports applied research and development, and where appropriate, to transition new technologies. The period of performance will be five years from date of contract award. It is anticipated that this requirement will be issued utilizing current acquisition streamlining procedures, therefore, a traditional Request for Proposal package will not be prepared, nor available.
