Indefinite Quantity Contract for Carpet and Resilient Flooring, Various
Locations, Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes repair/replace carpeting and
resilient flooring including underlayment, carpet cushion, tackless
strip, wall base, moldings, and incidental related work. Work also
includes relocating/replacing furniture obstructing the performance of
work. Estimated cost: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The contract term will
be a base period of 12 months plus two option years. The total term of
the contract, including all options, will not exceed 36 months. If the
Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government
may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional
period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In
either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when
exercised. The Government will establish unit prices for the various
contract line items. The contractor will propose a coefficient for the
base period and each option year which should include all projected
and potential costs not included in the unit price. The Government will
apply the coefficient to the bottom line price of the delivery order
(the total of all extended line items) to calculate the total delivery
order price. The Government may award this contract to more than one
contractor. The Government will give fair consideration to all awardees
in placing orders based on criteria stated in the solicitation. The
Davis-Bacon Act applies. This contract will replace a contract for
similar services awarded in 1996. We will include information about the
current contract and the incumbent contractor (e.g., value of last
option exercised, firm name, address, etc.) with the solicitation
package. We do not require requests under the Freedom of Information
Act for this information. Provide street address, phone number, and
facsimile number (if available) when requesting solicitation package.
SIC Code 1752 applies. Large business concerns shall submit a
subcontracting plan. Bidders shall submit a bid bond of at least 20
percent of the price payable for the contract guaranteed minimum with
their bid. Bid opening date is approximate. (0349) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0099 19971218\Z-0007.SOL)
