R -- COURIER SERVICES SOL DOJ-SAS-8-C-0061 DUE 011698 POC Contact Contracting Officer, Alicia Cross (202) 307-1953 The (DOJ), U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, is seeking firms in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area that provide dependable courier services, for time-urgent, same-day delivery (approximately ten [10] deliveries per day) of our packages, offering expanded base hours, and reasonable surcharge rates, throughout the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Regular deliveries in the downtown area must be completed in a one-hour time frame and regular deliveries outside of the downtown area (suburban Maryland or Virginia) must be completed in a two-hour time frame at regular rates. All messengers who handle our packages will be required to pass a security clearance consisting of a name and fingerprint check. This process takes approximately four weeks. The DOJ intends to award a firm fixed-price contract with one base year and four (4) option years for courier services on an annual basis.
