The project consists of construction of the Laredo DBCS Annex. Work consists of demolition, earthwork, soil stabilization, erosion control, paving, structural steel, steel joists and deck, built-up roof, electrical and CCTV, HVAC, and other miscellaneous work for a 7,017 square foot annex at an occupied Postal-owned facility. Phasing of all work is included with this project. Estimated cost range $550,000 -- $630,000 and construction time is 120 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-owned, and Woman-owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority business firmsr is an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be receivedin this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 pm on January 23, 1998.
