This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Perform effective and diverse services for the implementation and preparation for the certification process of ISO 9001 through preassessment, corrective action, certification, remedial action, and initial surveillance. The performance will be a not to exceed amount of 83 on-call days from March 01, 1998 through October 31, 1998. There will be a three month option November 01, 1998 through January 31, 1999 for a not to exceed amount of 36 on-call days. There will be a three month option February 01, 1999 through April 30, 1999 for a not to exceed amount of 36 on-call days. NASA/KSC intends to procure this service from Charter International, Tampa, FL. Interested firms have until January 05, 1998 to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Responses received after January 05, 1998 or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive and not considered for this procurement. Oral communications ae not acceptable for this submission. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-02. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 8742 and $5M, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. Quotations for the service described above may be mailed or faxed to the identified point of contact by the date/time specified and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative.
