Contraactor shall provide maintenance to the JLG 150 HAX Boom Lift, S/N 0300017920, for the period 05 January 1998 through 14 December 1999.It is intended to award this contract to Logan Equipment Corporation, Shrewsbury, MA on a sole source basis -- Logan Equipment Corporation was the contractor that added many pieces of custom equipment to the JLG 150 HAX Boom Lift, and they have been maintaining the Boom Lift since its delivery from the manufacturer, JLG. Logan has demonstrated their ability to provide quick, efficient service for the Boom Lift in Yuma, AZ, APG, and Adelphi, MD. To resort to any other source for this service contract would result in long and expensive delays during field tests and possible the inability of the contractor to service the Boom lift in a safe manner. Service of the Boom Lift by a contractor that does not have thorough knowledge of this particular Boom Lift could possibly result in unsafe conditions for the operators of the Ultra-Wide Band Radar and for the radar equipment.
