Terrell, 972-308-1989 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number TIRMS-98-Q-00001 is a Request For Quotation (RFQ) incorporating FAR provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-01. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 2672; the applicable size standard is 500. This procurement is set-aside for a small business; all responsible small businesses may submit a quote. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001: IBM 3900 Laser Printer Labels, Quantity 75 rolls, delivery is FOB Destination, Internal Revenue Service, 2306 E. Bannister Road, KCSC Main Building/Laser Print Room, Kansas City, Mo. 64131. Specifications for the labels are as follows: 30" Diameter, 6" Core Size, Tractor Feed, Face Stock: 50#white Uncoated Laser Compatible Continuous Paper on a 50# Liner, Adhesive: Permanent Acrylic, Carrier Width: 13", Label Size: 3.9 x 15/16", Labels Mounted Three (3) Wide on Carrier, Labels Per Roll: 288,000, No Splices, No Perforations, Shipping requirements: Rolls are to be shrink-wrapped with each roll standing in a suspended state, 3 rolls per pallet. Labels shall be laser quality, for non-impact printers. The label rolls shall be able to withstand approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit temperature generated by the IBM 3900 print system. Delivery must be within 15 days of the vendor's receipt of the order. Defective rolls may be returned and must be replaced within 15 days of notification. Labels shall be stored in a climate-controlled environment as they will suffer determination over an extended period of time. Vendor shall have equipment available to wind the label rolls in such a manner that the labels are fed from the bottom of the roll. A diagram is available upon request. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerers-Commercial Items is incorporated in this solicitation. Addenda to FAR 52.212-1: Offerers are reminded to submit signed and dated quotes. The preferred form for submitting quotes is the Standard Form 1449. If this form is not used, offerers are required to include a statement with their quotes specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions included in solicitation. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is incorporated. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offerers Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, is incorporated in this solicitation, and OFFERS SHALL INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THIS PROVISIONS WITH THEIR QUOTE.
