D -- SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SOL SP4700-98-R-0004 DUE 121997 POC Ann Burley (DASC-CPC) (703) 767-1182 The DLA Administrative Support Center, Office of Contracting (DASC-CPC)intends to award a sole source contract to SAS Institute for the DLA System Design Center, Richmond,VA,Defense Automatic Addressing System Office, Tracy, CA and Dayton, OH. The Directorate of Systems Support (DSDC-S/DAASC)has a requirement for the leasing of SAS proprietary statistical software products offered by the SAS Institute and associated software support. This software will be used for host mainframe central processing units (CPUs) and personal computers (PCs)at three (3) sites. Licensing shall include maintenance and documentation. For maintenance obligagions, the contractor shall provide software updates and revisions, detecting system problems, and correcting errors. The period for the contract will be three (3) years. A one year contract is anticipated with the option to renew for two (2) additional one year periods. This notice of intent is not a request competitive purposes. However, all written responses received within 15 days of the date of the synopsis will be considered. All responses must contain sufficient technical information to enable and evaluation of ability to perform in accordance with the Agency's requirements.
