schwierk@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal,
NJ currently has a requirement to obtain engineering services for the
Hand-Emplaced Wide Area Munition (HE-WAM) Program. The contractor shall
assist the PM-MCD in conducting an evaluation of the acoustic and
seismic sensor systems used in the Wide Area Munition and survey the
state of the art in the technology of such sensors (either commercially
available or in the military inventory) with regards to possible future
enhancements. The contractor efforts shall focus on the hardware
(transducers), signal processing and systems design of such sensors.
The contractor shall participate in meetings of the Acoustic and
Seismic Subgroups of the IPT being constituted as part of this effort
and provide technical input to these meetings, review data and
specifications as necessary, which are held at Picatinny Arsenal, the
systems developer contractor site in Wilmington, Massachusetts, the
Army Research Laboratory at Adelphi, Maryland and CRREL in Hanover, New
Hampshire. The work performed under this contract would be designated
as ADP II or III position; therefore contractor personnel performing
under this contract are required to have a SECRET Security Clearance.
TACOM-ARDEC intends to satisfy this requirement via Sole Source Small
Purchase Order to SenTech, Inc., Lexington, MA. See Numbered Note 22.
