Washington, DC 20526 99 -- MISCELLANEOUS -- INSURANCE UNDERWRITING FOR PERSONAL SERVICES
CONTRACTORS POC Andre Adams, (202) 606-9509 E-MAIL:
aadams@peacecorps.gov, aadams@peacecorps.gov. This notice constitutes
a Sources Sought Synopsis. This request is for informational purposes
only and should not be construed as a request for proposals or a
commitment by the Government. The Peace Corps awards personal services
contracts to vendors who train and/or provide medical care for
volunteers in over 90 countries. Because personal services contractors
are not covered by the Federal Employees' Compensation Act or the
claims settlement authorities in the Peace Corps Act, all non-resident
personal services contractors must obtain health and accident
insurance prior to the execution of the contract. Peace Corps is
interested in identifying vendors who can make available to personal
service contractors insurance policies that have minimum coverage in
the amounts of $10,000 for health and accident; $25,000 for bodily
injury and property damage comprehensive general liability; and $25,000
for automobile liability insurance written on the comprehensive form of
policy. The policy shall provide for bodily injury and property damage
liability covering the operation of all automobiles used in connection
with performing the contract. All inquiries must be made by
correspondence. Telephone inquiries will not be honored. (0337) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0326 19971205\99-0004.SOL)
