Hall, (816) 426-7267 extension 231 SOURCES SOUGHT: The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, AOML, Miami, Florida intends to issue a contract to Metocean, 40 Fielding Avenue, Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Canada for 8 WOCE/BP/WSD drifters. These drifters are WOCE standard drifters with barometric pressure sensor and wind speed and direction using WOTAN. Drifters are continuous duty cycle using ARGOS for transmission of the data. WOTAN is full noise spectrum, dual wind algorithm. The Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This is not a call for proposals. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announceent within 15 days of its publication and shall submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding it's capability to provide the specified drifters and the names, telephone numbers, and points of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it had previously provided similar items. No response will beprovided to those inquiries which fail to provide the information requested. This information shall be submitted to the address stated herein or may be faxed to (816) 426-7530.
