DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work comprises alterations to existing Building 670 and construction of new Shredder Building, and includes sitework, concrete, masonry, metal fabrications, insulation, roofing, sheet metal, steel doors and frames, rolling service doors, vault doors, finish hardware, lathing and plastering, gypsum board, ceramic tile, acoustic treatment, resilient flooring, carpet, painting, toilet partitions and accessories, signs, lockers, fire extinguishers cabinets, hydraulic elevator, electric cranes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and incidental related work. -- The estimated cost is $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 270 calendar days. -- This proposed contract will be unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1742 and the annual size standard is $7.0 million. It is recommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort.
