(b) Auger plant 2 seed orchards with Douglas-fir 1-1 bareroot stock in 9 tree plots located on a 20' x 20' hexagonal grid. Project areas are located on the North Fork John Day and Heppner Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest. All evaluation plantations and Mallory seed orchard are located west of U.S. 395, west of Ukiah, Oregon. Dugout seed orchard is located east of Ukiah, Oregon.
