70 -- MAINTENANCE ON STORAGE TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION AUTOMATED CARTRIDGE SYSTEM DUE 121597 POC Marcia Friedman Katz Tel: 410-965-9477 The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources that can provide maintenance for its government owned Storage Technology Corporation Automated Cartridge System (ACS). The ACS equipment supports all tape processing requirements for SSA large scale IBM/IBM code compatible mainframe computer systems that support national computer processing operations. The ACS consists of the following equipment: library storage modules, control units, library management units, cartridge drives, tape cartridge control units, cartridge subsystems and all associated features to equipment (channels, library options, couplers, fire/safety features and pass through ports). Also included is MVS/XA software basic with Component Distributed Systems License Option. The equipment and software are located at SSAs National Computer Center, Woodlawn, Maryland and at the Metro West Building in Baltimore, Maryland. Vendors having the capability to provide the equipment and software system maintenance services are invited to submit complete details. Responses must clearly state the ability to provide the maintenance services required for the above stated equipment and software.
