Defense Supply Service -- Washington on behalf of the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area for a study entitled " Research and Analytical support for the U. S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences". The objective of this procurement is to obtain techical and analytical support for the conduct of research at ARI. The contractor shall provide the necessary technical and analytical services to perform specific task. Such support should take the following forms: (a) provide appropriately trained undergraduate and graduate students for work on ARI research, analysis, and studies; (b) provide faculty to supervise these graduate students and to perform advanced research, analysis, and studies; (c) match faculty to supervise these graduate students match faculty expertise to designated research and study needs within ARI; (d) provide research space (to include, when applicable, laboratory space) for conducting research required by the ARI program; and (e) provide a pool of subjects for research and studies where this is deemed necessary and mutually agreeable. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. No contractual documents are available. (0329)
