C -- RENOVATE ROADWAYS SOL Project #815-CM-030 DUE 011598 POC Ron Lawton, Contracting Officer, (516) 754-7943 Require the Services of a Licensed New York State Architect-Engineer to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to provide and perform all field investigations, site surveys, test borings, any and all necessary work germane, required and necessary for the removal/replacement of existing road paving, resurfacing of existing roads, removal/replacement of existing concrete curbs/gutters and removal/replacement of existing storm drains and related piping at the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York for the VA Medical Center, Northport, New York. The A/E shall prepare a written feasibility report for the entire cemetery indicating the results of all field investigations, site surveys and test borings for the above described scope of work. report shall prioritize street resurfacing, removal/replacement of existing paving, curbs and drainage of all streets, and related cost estimates. Provide full design services, prepare contract bid documents (drawings and specifications), cost estimates (microsoft excel using VA format) and reproduction services for bid documents for the resurfacing of existing pavement, removal/replacement of existing pavement, curbs/gutters and storm drains. To include, as a minimum but not limited to all ancillary design work necessary to pavement replacement as landscaping, traffic control, work barriers, barricades and phasing schedules. A/E firm to be full service engineering firm, have a minimum of at least five years in the design and construction of asphalt road surfaces. A/E to be knowledgeable and adept in the "Standards Specifications, Construction and Materials", latest issue, of the New York State Department of Transportation Specifications and Veterans Affairs Master Specifications. There are approximately -- 12 miles of asphalt roadways (20'-23' in width), 24 miles of concrete curbing and 300 catch basins. Area of Consideration within Fifty (50) Miles Radius of New York City.
