Speights (Site Code W31XNJ) The existing raw water piping system will be replaced with new components including heavier schedule piping, valves, gauges, and strainers. A new filter and booster pump will be added to the gland water system. There is one 10-inch emergency raw water system and four 8-inch unit raw water systems. The systems include generator, thrust bearing and transformer cooling water, gland water, and miscellaneous deckwash outlets. Extensive phasing of the work will be required to minimize instances of plant outages. Bid documents are available on or about 4 December 1997. Estimated cost of work is between $250,000 to $500,000.
