Pathfinder recognizes the stron needs to better use increasing amounts of imagery to serve a demanding and expanding customer population. The Pathfinder process provides a critical link between commercial developers and vendors and the government with the intent to improve capabilities of analysts and other users of the GII. Pathfinder has identified and inserted selected critical exploitation tools into selected geospatial and imagery organizations. Pathfinder 99 (Pf99), scheduled from December 97 through September 98 will assess the Scene Visualization (SV) environment from low to high end using commercial and non-developmental market research techniques (surveillance and investigation). Pf99 interest includes the availability and suitability of various hardware and software suites, especially the ability to support "desk top" and tactical SV, including systems and data interoperation.
