Moore, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-5287 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) #80023. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This is an unrestricted solicitation. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. This is an "all or none" solicitation. The FBI is seeking conference room space for six (6) different weeks for the periods of January 12-16, 1998; March 2-6 1998; April 27-May 1, 1998; June 15-19, 1998; August 3-7, 1998; and September 21-25, 1998. The conference rooms need to be within one (1) mile radius of the FBI's Cleveland Field Office, 1240 E. 9th St., Cleveland, Ohio, 44199, because the FBI employees must be able to come and go to the Cleveland Field Office several times each day. Eight separate rooms must be furnished each time. These rooms can be described as meeting rooms or hospitality suites which are furnished with tables and chairs and are on the same floor. The breakout of the eight rooms must be as follows: One room must be furnished with a sturdy, hard surfaced conference type table, eight comfortable, padded, sit back chairs, and a larger table to hold supplies. Each of the next six rooms must be large enough to accommodate four individuals comfortably at a conference table. And one room must be furnished comfortably with a conference size, sturdy hard surface table and twelve chairs. The table must be large enough so that chairs are not too close to one another. Also, the hotel must have available sleeping rooms for the employees and individuals at no more or even less than the Government per diem rate. The 18 employees stay Sunday through Thursday night with Friday noon checkout. About 55 individuals stay one night each during the week. The employees and individuals will confirm their hotel sleeping room reserva-tions; this will be a separate line on the purchase order. This solicitation is contingent upon the availability of funds. A 24-hour notice will be given for sleeping room cancellations. The hotel must have the following: include in-out parking for FBI employees and telephones in each room; an equipped exercise room; a restaurant on the premises; access to convenient public transportation; and be clean, and secure. Prior to award, an on-site visit to the hotels will be required. Adherence to current fire regulations is a must. A Dept. Of Labor Wage Determination will be done for this requirement.
