USAFE Contracting Squadron intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a base operations and maintenance services contract at Rhein Main Air Base, Germany on or about 30 Jan 1998. Services included are program management, civil engineering, motor vehicle management and maintenance, traffic management, transportation services, fuels, aerospace ground equipment and transient alert maintenance. A cost plus award fee type contract is contemplated for this acquisition. The anticipated contract performance period will consist of a three month phase in beginning on or about 01 Jul 1998, one (1) basic period, plus four (4) one year option periods running through 30 Sep 2002. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be scheduled approximately one month after solicitation (RFP) release which is anticipated to be on or about 30 Jan 1998. Please provide the company name, attendees names, social security numbers, security clearances, and passport numbers of any individuals planning to attend the pre-proposal conference and/or the site visit, to this office not later than 23 Jan 1998. Please note a maximum of three representatives per company are authorized to attend. Solicitation documents will be provided to offerors on 3.5" 1.44 meg disk media in Microsoft Word 7.0 format or hard copy. No verbal request for the solicitation package will be accepted, only written request for the solicitation package will be accepted and must include a complete mailing address, point of contact, telephone number, facsimile number, and e-mail address. To expedite handling of solicitation documents, offerors may provide this office with an express mail service account number (i.e. Fedex No., etc.) which will be utilized; otherwise, first class US mail will be used.
