Sinagra 614-692-3623 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is SPO730-98-Q-8000 and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-2 and DAC 91-12. This acquisition is set-aside for small businesses; the applicable SIC is 3531, the size standard is 750 employees.. Item No. 0001: 1 EA Snow Plow, four section, Schmidt MF 5.4 or equal. Hydraulic angle/Mushroom Skid Shoes/ Size 50 Male and Female Coupler. All Hydraulic Valves and Controls for Quick Attachment to fit a Case W24C Loader. Item No. 0002: 1 EA Snow Blower -- Self contained in a single unit to fit a Case W24C Loader with ACS coupler system.. The following apply to the snow blower: 1) Blower Head width of 8-10"/Height 3 -- 4". 2) Single Stage Blower with minimum 2 fans; appr.40" diameter of fans; helical ribbon type gathering system; min. " shear bolts on each fan; constructed of min. 3/8" plate back and paddles; min. 6 paddles per fan; cutting edge replaceable with bolts; wear plates on each side replaceable with bolts. 3) Drive Shaft with min. 1 15/16" stressproof input shaft; min. 2 7/16" astralloy output fan shafts. 4) Bearings with min. double roller piloted 4 bolt flange blocks on fan shafts. 5) two roller chain sprockets, min. size 80; chain tightener sprockets have two bearings -- min. 1 "- in them; sprockets and chains enclosed in oil bath; min. 5 gal.
