NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AWARD TO TRIPP-UMBACH & ASSOCIATES, INC. The V.A. Medical Center, Bronx, NY intends to issue a sole source contract award to Tripp-Umbach & Associates, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA. Proposed contractor will provide a program of research planning services related to the performance of a community health assessment of veterans in the New York metropolitan area. Tripp-Umbach & Associates, Inc. will prepare and distribute health surveys to veterans in the service area in order to assemble statistical research to identify health needs. They will also provide a statistical report showing comparisons between sub-populations and a leadership of focus groups to gather additional information on specific needs. No other source is capable of performing this work since Tripp-Umbach & Associates, Inc. already owns a community health database that must be compared to the data collected from the proposed study of the veteran population. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. Proposed contract period is from 11/97 through 6/98.
