28 -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE- REPLACEMENT OF A/C ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATION SOURCE ON COAST GUARD HU-25 AIRCRAFT. THE COAST GUARD IS SEEKING TO TOTALLY REPLACE THE EXISTING A/C ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATION SYSTEM WHICH CONSISTS OF TWO ENGINE DRIVEN CONSTANT SPEED HYDRAULIC PUMPS WHICH DRIVE A CONS POC Point of Contact -- Contact Tonya Bush, Contract Specialist (919)335-6195 or L. The Coast Guard wants to eliminate the constant speed pumps and motor and replace them with a state of the art electrical power generating system. The system must be capable of producing 11kva of electrical power and have a documented MTBF of 2000 hours. A presolicitaiton conference will be held at U.S. Coast Guard Aircraft Repair and Supply Center, Elizabeth City, NC 27909-5001 on 19 November 1997, in Building 63 main conference room, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00PM. Attendees will have an opportunity to view Coast Guard aircraft and are encouraged to bring representative sample of prospective equipment for review.
