Edwards, (618) 229-9583 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to acquire all intra-LATA switched services within the United States and its territories directly from the Local Exchange Carriers (LECs), at published tariff prices. This includes local business lines, Integrated Switched Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Rate Interface (BRI), or other switched services. Interested companies wishing to compete for services at competitive prices (lower than the published tariff prices), are invited to express their interest in writing, to DISA/DITCO/DTS32, Attn: Rose M. Edwards, 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB, IL 62225-5406 or E-mail Ms. Edwards at EDWARDSR@DITCO.DISA.MIL. Each interested company must specify types of service they can provide (e.g., business lines, ISDN-BRI, Centrex services) and the geographic locations where these services are available. A source list will be maintained specifying types of service and locations where these services are available. With your written request, you must also provide the following: identification of the location is considered equal access and availability of 101-0387 the Primary InterExchange Carrier (PIC), rates associated with the cities you currently provide intra-lata service, to allow for a valid verification against published LEC rates. DITCO will make this announcement available through an electronic bulletin board, the DITCO Acquisition Bulletin Board System (DABBS). For information purposes, DITCO is planning on transitioning from the DABBS to a WEB site on or about 1st Quarter calendar year 1998. More detailed information to be provided in the near future.
