Service requires equipment that has the ability to clean, scrub, de-ice
and plow snow from irregular surface sidewalks. The sidewalks are
constructed with irregular surfaces such as cobblestone, granite and
marble. The unit must be able to pickup debris such as trash, soda
cans, food, cigarette butts, animal feces, dirt, sand and broken glass
from sidewalks, steps, tree grates and street gutters. Also, the unit
must be able to sweep, damp down, disinfect, scrub and clean up
irregular surfaces without damaging or marking those surfaces. The unit
must also be a leaf collector and must be able to operate in cold
temperatures, plow snow and de-ice surfaces. The unit must work
effectively and safely in areas of heavy pedestrian traffic flow. The
Government requires two units with a maintenance agreement for both
units for at least 1 up to 5 years upon the discretion of the
Government. Operator manuals, maintenance lists and part books will be
supplied by the contractor. Quote shall includeon-site delivery,
machines installation and operator training to the Government. A
solicitation is available upon request beginning 11/17/97. All
responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered..
