Commission Headquarters, located at 1801 L Street, N.W., Washington,
DC. has a requirement for a contractor to provide removal and total
destruction of approximately 3,000 cubic feet of EEOC's
temporary/nonpermanent records held at the EEOC Warehouse located in
Alexandria, Virginia. Destruction of the records should be accomplished
through pulping/shredding/recycling. The contractor shall provide
laborers to place materials for destruction in holding area. The
contractor will schedule pick-up of the records that have been
identified for destruction in an enclosed truck/trailer. The contractor
will load the truck and proceed directly from EEOC warehouse to
destruction site, notifying the Project Officer of a delay of any
nature occurs. Only EEOC's wastepaper will be transported on the
truckload. Waste paper provided by EEOC will not be resold by
contractor as wastepaper to any other party. All wastepaper will be
totally destroyed beyond legibility. The material mustbe off-loaded at
the facility for destruction by contractor. The material must be
destroyed using methods cited and may not be resold as record material.
The contractor shall have a designated official who witnesses the
destruction and upon completion will sign certificate documenting the
total destruction. The period of performance is from date of award of
purchase order through September 30, 1998. RFP closing date will be 30
days after issuance. All responsive and responsible sources may submit
an offer which will be considered by the EEOC. All requests for RFP
98-04 must be submitted to Cassandra Bates, Equal Employment
