Potential cooperative research and development and licensing opportunity with LMITCO, the prime operating contractor for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL). LMITCO has established a sensor program to measure profiles of dielectric constant and electrical conductivity. The sensor has the ability to measure in real time water, metals, salts, air and other properties as a function of length along a flexible sensing cable. The sensor has potential application in monitoring product quality and uniformity and detecting leaks or water intrusion. The targeted applications would be in the agriculture, turf management, golf courses, precision agriculture, pulp and paper, food, chemical, and fermentation industries. LMITCO is soliciting a written indication of interest from industry partners who would consider entering into cooperative research and licensing agreements. Participants will be expected to provide technical expertise and have financial and organizational structure to financially support the project and to participate in the commercialization of the technology. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to LMITCO or the Department of Energy. This solicitation will close to response 30 days after publication.
