This solicitation invites proposals for the construction of a postal-owned Main Post Office located at 1313 Alabama Ave., Selma, AL containing approximately 25,000 sq. ft. of floor space with approximately 6,000 SF of covered exterior area. Work includes, but is not limited to brick veneer exterior finish, metal decking, rigid insulation with modified bituminous sheet roofing, metal stud and gypsum board partitions, suspended acoustical board ceiling; ceramic tile, VCT, carpet, aluminum storm front and windows, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, casework, fencing and other work associated with Postal construction. NOTE: these specs include updated section 13705 concerning CCTV system. Demolition and removal of existing structures, paving and subgrade also required. The minority-owned business subcontracting goal for this contract is a minimum of ten percent (10%). A TWENTY PERCENT (20%) PROPOSAL BOND IS REQUIRED WITH EACH PROPOSAL. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS WILL BE REQUIRED FROM THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR. The estimated cost of this project is between $2,500,000 and $3,000,000 with completion within 330 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
