Work shall include, but not be limited to the contractor furnishing all labor, material, plant, tools, equipment, and services necessary to upgrade the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in Buildings 592 and 1384, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Major work components include removal of existing multi-zone air handlers and associated chilled/hot water piping; removal of chillers, cooling towers, hydronic boilers, and associated pumps; replacing existing system with through-the-wall type air-to-air heat pumps; installation of makeup air system which consists of large heat recovery units and air-cooled chillers to allow air to be distributed throughout units through existing duct system; cleaning of existing duct system; phasing such that only one floor is disrupted at a time; and upgrade of electrical service. Period of performance is 360 days. Bonding is required. Solicitation is full and open. All responsible sources may submit a bid to be considered by this agency. The project is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All solicitation requests must be in writing. A non-refundable $30.00 fee is required for each solicitation package.
